HOW WE WORK
Here is a brief outline of how we work:
- Brief / Cost Estimate
- Design Concepts
- Confirm Concept / Artwork
- Print or Web Production
BRIEFING/PROPOSAL
We discuss the project, its objectives, timing and budget and ask client for background information to clarify what the intended outcomes are and what
technical issues and identity guidelines need to be considered.
We outline our fee structure and prepare a cost estimate if required.
DESIGN CONCEPTS
The information and briefing is used to develop strategically focused
concepts that support the desired message. Creative concepts are developed.
These are checked against the objectives outlined in the
brief and are presented for feedback, refinement and
approval.
CONFIRM CONCEPTS / ARTWORK
Any additional work such as Copy writing,
Photography or Illustration are
commissioned.
Approved copy is provided. Budget is confirmed
and re-estimates issued if the specifications of the job
have changed. The concept is now translated into
more complete design as finished art work for client approval.
Author’s corrections are finalised. Laser proofs or
PDFs are then presented for final proof reading and detail
checking. Once signed off on, the
completed project goes into production.
PRODUCTION
For print work the approved proofs and artwork files
are handed over to the prepress house to output colour
proofs. These are checked for colour and technical accuracy
and for anything possibly missed in the previous checks.
Once the colour proofs are approved, printing commences
and press checks are done at the beginning of printing if
needed. The completed printed items are then delivered.
Web and electronic media is designed to web standards and and tested to gain the widest compatability.
